iMacTrucos #15: To create images from the applications icon

This is a small trick that, although I discovered some time ago and I have used little, some time ago I have made again use of him to capture a few images.

The utility is simple: to we allow to take the icon of any program as an image to maximum possible resolution. Anyway, which really suit are those of applications of the proper one YOU X (iCal, Mail, Safari, …), since they make use of the maximum of definition of the image.

To realize the apprehension, it is enough to continue the following steps:

1. To select the wished application (Front Row in our example), and to copy it (CMD + C).

2. To open the application Turned out to be Previous. Once opened, we go to FILE-> NEW FROM THE PORTAPAPELES (CMD + N).

3. There will be opened to us the icon of the program that we have chosen at first. What we will have to do next will be to keep it in format.jpeg.png, or any other that we wish (CMD + S). If we mark the option ALPHA, the image will keep us without the white fund, so that we could use it in staff or elements with fund and this one remains perfect.

The result is simply unbeatable, and very simple to achieve if we do not dominate programs as Photoshop. We hope that it should be useful to you. A greeting!
