iMacTutos #8: Configuration and use of the service iWork.com

After the tutors' big compilation of iLife that we did it already does a time, we recapture this section of the blog with a new focused tutor to share documents between users in the network, to make them accessible from any place, and we are allowed to be able to displace ourselves this way without need to take them above.

For it, it is necessary to have the enclosure package installed iWork ‘09. It to begin using, we will continue the steps since we create a document until we unload it or visualize in iwork.com

1. The first thing will be, obviously, to create our document or to open one that we want to share. It is indistinct if it is realized by Pages, Numbers or Keynote. Next, we will select TO SHARE-> TO SHARE BY MEANS OF iWORK.COM …, or straight clicking in the button enabled for it.

2. Next, if it is the first time that we use the service, he will ask us for our Apple ID and e-mail to verify and to form the account. Once let's realize this step, a mail will come to us with a linkage to activate it (it will be necessary only to give him to the button TO VERIFY NOW). We will be able to gain access to her straight with our Apple ID and password, the same one that we use for Apple Store or the iTunes Store.

3. Once formed everything, we will return to the application of iWork, where us the window will appear to share the document. Here we will be able to introduce the mail address of the persons to whom we want to lead to his content (in the pigeonhole FOR), in addition to making the discharge possible in multiple formats and protecting it by means of password (activating the ADVANCED OPTIONS). Once let's have it quite ready, we press the button TO SHARE and the load will begin. When it has finished, an assertion mail will come to us.

4. Already having the content in the web, only it is lacking to enter in iWork.com, to gain access with our Apple ID and password, and to be able to gain access to our document from any computer with Internet connection. If we select in the previous step the option to discharge, we will be able to lower a copy to modify it to our taste. Also we will have the option, if we are sharing it with more people, to be adding notes or comments that will prove to be arranged by time in the right side bar. Next you have an image of how the document is seen from the web navigator.

Since final detail, it is necessary to mention that it is a service that Beta is still in phase (in development) and that, at least for the time being, the space that we can use is limited to 1GB, more than sufficient talking each other of documents. We hope that it should be useful to you. A greeting!
